SECTION UNDER DEVELOPMENT

There are many remarkable stories amongst the emigrants to East Jersey and their associates. 

This section of the website provides pen portraits across the main categories of free emigrant, indentured servant and transported prisoner. Also included are investors, both emigrant and remaining in Scotland.

You can also view pen portraits of those people who were members of dissident religious affiliations, the Covenanters and the Quakers.

Many will feature in the ‘Findings’ pages on this site.
